How to Apply Super Magnetic Paint
Follow these easy steps to achieve a strong magnetic finish. No specialist installation is needed.
Step 1 - Surface Preparation
Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Repair any cracks or holes and sand until smooth.
Step 2 - Apply Primer
Apply one coat of white primer and allow sufficient time for drying.
Step 3 - Apply Paint
Apply across the surface, allowing each coat to dry before sanding. A minimum of four coats is recommended.
Step 4 - Drying Time
Allow at least 24 hours of drying before applying any topcoat, colour layer, wallpaper, or printed finish.
Step 5 - Ready to Use
Once fully dry, the surface is ready for use with strong neodymium magnets.

Magnetic surfaces are typically used for planning, scheduling, posting, brainstorming, magnetic notice boards, magnetic walls plus lots more. For best results, we recommend using neodymium magnets or strong rare earth magnets with your super magnetic surface.
How to create a magnetic photo wall?
It is easy to create a magnetic photo wall using the magnetic paints and wallcoverings. We recommend you use neodymium magnets. You can create a photo wall by choosing from the magnetic paints, wallcoverings or plaster. For the strongest hold, we recommend the magnetic plaster. Simply apply the wall covering of your choice on the surface you have chosen following the application steps and pin up your photographs.
Can I put any paint colour of my choice on top of Super Magnetic Paint?
Yes, but because the magnetic paint is dark, you may need to apply more than one coat of your chosen colour. We recommend using a primer for a smooth white base for lighter shades of topcoat paint.

Neo-Magnets or rare earth magnets should be used as these are the strongest available. Note: Typical household magnets are not appropriate.
